Phil Laak is so damn annoying.

@missycalimba That’s very true but Phil also knows that Mike knows that. Phil knew Mike would fold, that’s the only guy at the table he would have the balls to bluff with duece seven. It is asking a lot to read what you think another player thinks that your thinking.

  17. #17 by missycalimba - May 16th, 2010 at 16:32

@ozabobododo Im not saying Matusow is good or bad, but he folded because Phil Hellmuth bet, not some random guy, and according to his “read”, “Hellmuth never makes a big bet on river unless he has it”.

i really dont like the way hellmuth holding his hands up to his face.

@EarlMalmsteen Who cares about when he won his bracelets. By saying he won all of his bracelets when the game hadn’t evolved (in other words guys calling preflop raises with hands like Q6 suited) you’re also saying guys like Stu Unger, Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson aren’t good either.

My point is Phil Hellmuth is recognized and famous for playing poker. Brian Brandon was just trying to make a name for himself by attacking Phil Hellmuth who said, nothing to him.

If that’s the only thing you thought, you call!

  23. #23 by no1wasgeorgiebest - May 16th, 2010 at 18:16

what were they thinking when they got rid of AJ? these two commentating are great, just the bit about air quotes had me laughing

  24. #24 by EarlMalmsteen - May 16th, 2010 at 18:20

@GialloHorror phil hellmuth is definitely not one of the greatest holdem players ever. he won almost all of his bracelets at a time when the game had not evolved very much, and he can’t beat cash games, much less cash games against the best players in the world, and brian is right–phil has very little class at the table. Brian is also out of line but he’s right regardless.

Every single one of the online high stakes regs except for Guy Laliberte is better at NLH than hellmuth.

If phil woulded keep his mouth shut, the bluff woulded work. He also look very unconfortable after the call on the turn. If he would had a hand, he wouldn’t stare at Baxter for so long. Great read by Baxter, and Hellmuth next time shut the fuck up.
